  • Participation of HBA-USA in the Educational Trip

The last spring semester HBA-USA had the chance to participate in the Educational Trip program (http://edutrip.gr/).

HBA-USA gladly participated to the 7th Educational trip that was organized by the Hellenic societies of 5 universities in the US (MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, Georgia Tech, University of California Sa Diego) and supported by the Corallia foundation (http://www.corallia.org/).

Educational trip aims to inspire the next generation of Greek students and future scientists in shaping the future of Greek universities. Moreover, the program aspires to motivate the Greek students and introduce them to exceptional academic environment and top notch high tech companies.

This year’s group visited the MIT and the Wyss Institute at Harvard Medical School in Boston and had the opportunity to meet with notable professors and researchers of these institutions. At the Wyss, the students were hosted by HBA’s Appointed Secretary Nikos Dimitrakakis. The visit included a tour at the Wyss facilities along with a presentation about the vision and the research conducted in the Institute. The visit concluded with an extensive discussion about the education and the research opportunities for Greek students in the USA.

We would like to thank Thrasyvoulos Karydis member of the organizing committee at MIT and his close collaboration. We look forward to extend our participation in the Educational trip in the following years.
